Our client, in food manufacturing, is seeking a Food Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Food Plant Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Food Plant Maintenance Mechanic **Location:** Torrance, CA **Pay Range:** Competitive pay starting at $28 - $32 p/h based on experience **Shift:** 3rd Shift 9pm-5:30am **What's the Job?** + Demonstrate mechanical ability and skills while carrying out daily maintenance activities, plant rounds, and preventative maintenance. + Perform general maintenance troubleshooting and diagnose equipment failures effectively. + Utilize electrical schematics to identify voltage, amperage, and resistance in electrical circuits. + Identify and distinguish between various mechanical components such as chains, sprockets, and gearboxes. + Execute welding tasks and basic refrigeration comprehension as needed. **What's Needed?** + 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic working with industrial equipment. + Ability to work safely around electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermodynamic equipment. + Fluency in written and verbal English. + Physical capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. + Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required. **What's in it for me?** + Full-time hours with a true temp-to-hire opportunity. + Competitive pay based on experience. + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. + Gain valuable experience in the food manufacturing industry. + Be part of a team that values continual improvement and safety. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
