Job Description

The Talent Mine  is looking to hire a seasoned Business Development professional with an established network in the climate / environmental space for an immediate freelance commission sales job.  This is a very unique role that offers complete schedule flexibility, 100% remote, and with an organization that will provide all the sales and culture tools needed for you to succeed.  If you want to partner with the founders of the firm that are dedicated to being on the right side of history with our planet, share the same passion as you for climate solutions, AND want 100% autonomy to work in the best ways you know how, let's chat!

We are making a commitment to become leaders in the climate and clean energy sectors, focused on delivering ethical and efficient hiring practices to place the best folks in the climate industry. 

A day in the life will include:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and target potential clients in the clean energy and climate sectors who are looking to hire.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers with hiring authority.
  • Sales: Manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing deals and negotiating contracts.
  • Job Orders: Collaborate with internal teams to secure job orders for climate, climate/tech and clean energy hiring needs.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to position the company as a leader.
  • Communication:  We will provide you with all the tools you need, to include our customized ATS (Crelate), a paid LinkedIn account and the suite of Office365 tools.  We expect you'll use these tools, including phone communication to work effectively within our distributed team dynamic.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of business development experience in the climate, clean energy, or environmental sectors.  You are confident you can bring in both past and new client relationships with companies that are ready to hire with a climate focused recruiting firm.
  • Track Record: Proven success in securing job orders and driving growth in related industries.  You are self motivated and know how to win!  
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with renewable energy, sustainability, and climate change solutions.
  • Sales Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and closing abilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, or related field (preferred), a BS degree is NOT required!  We care about working with smart, motivated, kind and ethical people as the main "credentials" in thriving with us.
