Description Job Title: Banking Associate (Contract) Location: Los Altos, CA; Onsite Job Description: Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Banking Associate to join a thriving financial services organization in a contract capacity. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of banking operations, strong analytical skills, and expertise in client account management. As a Banking Associate, you will contribute to ensuring smooth banking transactions, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service while supporting the organization's business goals. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with day-to-day banking operations, including account management, fund transfers, deposits, loans, and payment processing + Perform client account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner + Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements + Collaborate with internal teams to support lending operations and provide detailed reports on loan activity and portfolio performance + Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring service excellence + Process wire transfers and ACH payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls + Analyze banking procedures and identify improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks + Maintain accurate documentation of client transactions, contracts, and account activity + Support audit preparation and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies during compliance reviews. Requirements Qualifications: + Experience: 2-4 years of experience in banking, financial services, or a related field; prior client-facing banking experience is preferred + Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred but not required). + Technical Skills: Proficiency in banking software and systems. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) are a plus + Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of KYC, AML, and other banking compliance standards + Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
