### What You'll Do
As an Accountant & Tax Preparer, you'll play a key role in managing client accounts, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Filing a variety of tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns.
- Conducting tax research and providing strategic tax planning and compliance advice.
- Assisting clients with IRS audit letters and related communications.
- Managing client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in accounting and tax laws to provide the best solutions.
- Developing and implementing effective accounting and tax policies.
- Training, mentoring, and managing junior staff members to support their professional growth.
### What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certification: CPA or EA preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years in public accounting, with a strong focus on tax preparation.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred).
- Experience with Lacerte Tax Software is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members.
